PAG Construction, Inc. is a licensed, mid-sized general contracting and construction management company serving Southern California since 1991. We have expertise in all aspects of construction with a focus on interior tenant improvement, site development, and exterior renovation. OUR PROCESS

As students of the Architects Institute of America (AIA) we are creative, organized managers with fine-tuned and efficient procedures, allowing your projects to feel fun as we bring you to your new work home. Communication and organization are the benchmark. Before a project, we work closely with stakeholders, building managers, tenants, designers, engineers, and architects to provide accurate budget and timeline estimates. During the project, we control costs, value-engineer, and ensure quality through our long-standing relationships with a network of handpicked and highly qualified subcontractors. Upon completion of the project, clients receive a digital closeout package containing comprehensive job information, including all contract documents, as-built drawings, permit cards, finish specifications, and subcontractor warranty letters, as well as the signed and completed punch list. We are committed to relationships for a lifetime, and so is our record-keeping.

LEADERSHIP

ALAN HOFFMAN
​President

​Alan co-founded PAG Construction in 1991 with his late partner Tom Shiflett. Alan is a licensed General Contractor and the RME of PAG Construction. Prior to founding PAG Construction, Alan served 5 years as Project Manager for Maxicare Health Plans Inc, where he managed field operations in 26 states, including the simultaneous construction of six Southern California ambulatory care facilities, during that conglomerate’s expansion during the late 1980s.

Alan remains committed to PAG Construction’s founding principle of hands-on construction management. He is equally adept in the field and in the office, providing whatever is necessary, be it general oversight or actual project management.

TIM BROWN
​Vice President

Tim Brown has lifelong roots in construction and development as well as over two decades of experience in the construction industry. He is a results-driven construction manager with strong business acumen and a strategic approach to project execution. Holding a degree in managerial economics with a minor in leadership, Tim blends financial insight with operational efficiency to drive successful project outcomes across diverse sectors, including medical, retail, office, dental, and industrial construction.

Throughout his career, Tim has led projects ranging from base building and ground-up developments to intricate interior tenant improvements. He is known for his ability to streamline processes, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving, Tim ensures that each project exceeds both client expectations and industry standards.

Beyond the construction site, he is an avid tennis player who competed at the collegiate level and beyond, a testament to his competitive drive, discipline, and strategic mindset. Now raising his three kids with his wife, Andrea, this same dedication translates into his professional approach always striving for excellence, adaptability, and continuous improvement.  Whether managing complex developments or fast-paced tenant improvements, he remains committed to building not just structures, but strong relationships and lasting impacts in the industry.

TYLER HOFFMAN
Senior Project Manager 

Tyler Hoffman joined PAG Construction in the late 2000s as the company's first intern. Upon graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Communications and minor in Business, he became a full-time Assistant Project Manager, learning about the business from the ground up to eventually become a Senior Project Manager. Tyler's background in sales and marketing have proved to be an asset in the growth and development of PAG Construction. Clients and subcontractors both appreciate and value his work ethic and organizational skills. 

Tyler is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a construction project from bid invitation and job walk, through proposal submission, to management of the entire construction project from demolition to closeout package. In collaboration with the full PAG team, he fosters seamless communication and interaction between client, architect, tenant, and subcontractors. Tyler's commitment to PAG's values, of delivering quality services at competitive prices to meet the most demanding standards, ensures that each project comes fully to life from its conceptual design.
